Re: Alternative Christmas Dinner

I did have to have a little giggle at your Fidget Pies SusieGee. Our dog is called Fidget, and we are constantly threatening to stick ...

Re: Get the best out of our veg patch

Hi AlanW0, I have a similar problem in that I have a very urban garden with only 4, 2x1m raised beds. What I have realised after 5 years of growing is that the best thing for me is to try and grow crops that are not only expensive in the shops but that I know will get eaten too. I have also had to a...

Turkish Delight

I want to make some Turkish delight for the hubbys Yule gift and i wondered if anyone has had any experience with making it. My efforts with sweetie making always end up as a disaster. This is the recipe I was thinking of trying http://www.rivercottage.net/forum/seasonality/seasonal-recipes/25476tur...

I like nettle but really don't drink any that often. Normal tea is :pukeright: , but I fully appreciate I'm a little odd in this viewpoint

Re: Quilt Quandry. Susie? Mrs Flib? Keanie? HE:LP!

Ok if you have the quilt top you need to measure it. Do this by folding it in half measure down the fold, not around the edges as you might think. Then unfold it and fold it in half the other way and measure it again.( so you have with and length measurements. Use these two measurements to find the ...

Re: Growing fruit in pots?

Clarry I have tried many dwarf fruit trees in pots, but I would have to say that they need BIG pots and LOTS of water to do well, so if you don't mind watering them every day in dry spells then its fine, but otherwise they will never be as productive as if they are in the ground.

The most worrying bit about the blurb is where it says, semen is readily avaliable in most resturants. I'm NEVER eating out again, just in case.:pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright:
