Anti inflammatories

Anyone taking these for any reason? Saw a shocking documentary the other night. Well OH had it on so I assumed it was a nature programme. No idea what it was actually but it was about a serious problem in India that all the vultures were dying and causing a serious problem by being missing from the ...

Re: Easy tree stump removal

This sounds great. Really multifunctional.

I like the sound of your rose propogation method. How long do you leave them in the carrier bag and then what do you do?
Plant the stem with the newspaper?

Thanks.

Re: Easy tree stump removal

Good point Bulworthy. I don't have room for an alder tree unfortunately. I was thinking about willow because I could use it in various ways and plant it along a boundary instead of a fence or hedge. I'm still thinking. It's a very good suggestion though for others who might read the article and have...

Re: What causes lots of small poatoes?

I think lack of water is most likely but also maybe planting them too close?

Re: Easy tree stump removal

Thanks Contadina, glad you found it useful.

That does sound like a real monster you are dealing with. Worrying being so close to a building. The tree and the potential burn.

Hope you find a way that works.

Re: Easy tree stump removal

Zoe it's not an easy way to make charcoal but that is a side product of the process. I would only bother if the tree stump is in your way.

Re: 101 uses for clothes pegs

More than I thought already

12. Making camps for kids to play in. A bit like their intended purpose but good enough for this list.

13. Pegging welly boots into pairs in an intensive welly boot situation like a school or winter play visit.

101 uses for clothes pegs

This might be a bit optimistic but you never know.

1. Using clothes pegs to fix anti bird netting to wires. Saves time on tying and also you can easily unpeg to get your hand in to pick the fruit.

I got some really cheap from a local chinese food (ingredients) shop.

Never tried killing weeds with it.

Re: Unusual Finds!

Fascinating story, Bill. If only walls could talk! I've never found anything interesting in a house. When I was a kid we found a large crater in a wood, which we decided was a bomb-hole but then we found it full of old victorian glass bottles. Lots of blue ones with marble stoppers. We all took a fe...

Neither my cherry or plum are flowering yet and this is a warm part of the country. Rhubarb still not showing yet either.

Re: Drought

Same here. The ban starts on the 5th April. I must admit the same dilemma did cross my mind.

Then it occured to me how dumb they are giving everybody notice like this. I can almost hear the hoses running already!

It's a Dad's Army 'Don't Panic!' planning strategy :?
