I'm considering planting potatoes for the first time this year. I haven't got a great deal of space in which to do it, so I thought I would buy a potato planter. However, I've read that these can be made very easily... has anyone made one with any success... if so, would you be willing to share how ...

This year I would like to plant some manner of fruit bush in my garden. My garden is a highly disorganised area with a greenhouse (currently storing the bikes) and two dogs!! Anyway, I have no idea which fruit to grow, and wondered if anyone could make any suggestions. I'm thinking probably not blac...

Seeds from Peppers

Lastnight I was watching Jamie Oliver  anyway, on there a guy said that you can save the seeds directly from the squash and plant them to make the next crop. Well, I was wondering you see... last year I tried (unsuccessfully) to grow peppers... and the seeds were quite obviously those from a pe...

Re: Caterpillars on Broccoli

:thumbleft:

I think I'm going to have to get my gardening gloves on and do some major picking of caterpillars, I'm not willing to risk my Broccoli... I'm too proud of it!

Thanks for your tips!

Caterpillars on Broccoli

Hello All, I'm very proud of the way in which my purple sprouting Broccoli is growing in my back garden! I've managed to fend off an army of slugs, plant them well and look after them, but to my horror a few holes began appearing in my leaves... I left it thinking that I didn't mind a few hole...

Re: Hello from Coventry

:dave: My tomoatoes have gone kind of droopy and lifeless. They are the sort which grow in hanging baskets, I know they should be kept warm so I'm wondering if our horrible weather has something to do with it. They seemed to start flowering, but it's all stopped. Should I get some specialist tomotoe...
