i sowed my seeds direct into a raised bed and they took about 3 weeks to start showing and there just chucking there seed pods now and are quite spindly little things.
Its amazing to think that there going to grow into great big leeks

Its my first year of growing and ive started nearly everything from seed straight in raised beds and it all seems to be doing quite well.

My tomatoes im starting in plastic trays in a home made coldframe and they are just starting to pop there heads out of the soil now.

The only thing i used to do at primary school on the radiators was melt wax crayons :lol:


My teachers used to go mad at me im glad i put my energy into less destructive thing nowadays :mrgreen:

I bought the dvd when it first came out and i think his motives for been green are placed elsewhere to be honest.

I was really looking forward to taking the family along in my vw camper van untill we found out they dont allow dogs :cry:

i put weeds in mine roots and all but i leave them on a black plastic sheet to dry out for a few days before i put them in.

Im going to be planting my parsnips in the morning so i shall put them into soak tonight with a hope of improving there chances.

I would think tall and skinny seedlings is down to lack of light more than anything.
Mind you this is my first proper year growing veg so i may be wrong.
