Re: Phone apps

I know this was more than a year ago, but just in case anybody looks back to this topic later, I think there was a bit shift from 32bit to 64bit from iPhone 5 onwards that has wreaked havoc with older apps. It's a real shame as it's put a load of old stuff out of commission.

Re: I'm self sufficient in....

Do you have one to plant out? I could probably stick a spade through some of mine, pop it in a jiffy bag and it'd survive the journey

Re: Ish Members' Blogs

It's because I learnt all my HTML back in school in the 00's and it's hosted in my pantry - I'm going to write something on sustainable blog hosting at some point hopefully :)

They have the turkey breast steaks in two well known German discounters today so you may be able to get them yet :)

Re: Pet gripes

What's to like? It's stressful, families are often the worst and financially it's pretty naff. And you have short days to work on the garden.

Re: Pet gripes

A "stew pack" of veg in the local supermarket - a swede, parsnip, carrots and onion in a plastic tray and then cellophaned.

Wrapping paper is also very annoying.

Re: Lean-to Greenhouse Roof

This is fantastically helpful and help me realise some problems with my own design - thanks for sharing :)

The small panes of glass I have will be challenging, but at least they're free I guess!

Lean-to Greenhouse Roof

Morning Everyone! Well, afternoon but... I'm getting a bit closer to finalising the plans for the lean-to greenhouse that's going at the back of the allotment - East facing, on the base of an old Anderson shelter and a little beyond that. Happily, the foundation and concrete path still remain from t...

Re: Breezy

Yup - we had bin day too and a few of us had to do what was basically a beach clean without the beach. Not, of course, the main bin culprit.

The good news is that the wind has unsettled a load of the trees in the back lane and I've got myself quite a decent kindling pile now :)
