Whats the best way to keep bread?

I have just got the hang of baking bread by hand but don't know what's the best way.
I realise it will be at its best for a couple of days at best, I was keeping it in a Ziploc freezer bag to get the most out of it.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Phil

Re: Can you over-worm a dog?

Some instructions will tell you to dose differently depending on the environment that the dog or animal lives at. I live out in the country and with the exposure of other dogs, sheep etc and a lot of birds to help transfer the culprits. I used to worm my dogs every 3 months but found that wasn't eno...

Doesn't make you a skinflint, means you're using your loaf.
Saves going to the bookshop for a look.

Re: Cookbook ebooks low sales for a reason?

I have a kindle and it is great for novels, classics etc but I wouldn't put cook or homebrew books on it as I like to peruse through said books. Also of you see the mess I make when cooking, its like a trail of destruction in which a kindle wouldn't fair very well. I like where my HB and cook books ...

Re: Close Escapes!

Has anyone had any close escapes? These are some of mine. The list is not exhaustive as they say  1, Near drowning twice Aged 8 and 17 2. Stabbed aged 15 3. Explosion aged 15 (lost a bit of an eye but the lucky thing was the shrapnel that missed my jugular vein by 3/8ths inch) 4. Seriou...

Re: Hello folks from sunny, hot and dry NI

I only have a small back garden so will have to make do with planting 3 or 4 fruit trees and a small polytunnel. What I would give for an acre or three :(

Monty & Sarah Don's home cookbook

I can get this book for £4.99 from a discount book shop, the original price was £25 but I know books can be inflated when first sold so they can be sold at a discount.
Is it worth getting this book as I couldn't find any reviews on the forum for it.
Thanks in advance
Bbe

Re: Hello folks from sunny, hot and dry NI

Thanks all, hi Potter's Farm I can't wait until I get my tree planted and my greenhouse next year. I thought down south would have been more expensive than across the water to go self sufficient as I am from down there originally and things seem to be quite tight there but you sound to be doing well...
