Re: I may be opening a can of worms here but...

There are a couple of forums where the folk keep animals and sometimes have meat for sale. I don't know if it is ok to post a link but I can always PM anyone who is interested. There is usually beef, pork, lamb and poultry from various folk. I keep my own animals (though I never have any spare meat ...

Re: I'm pleased with my Coloured Egg layers this year

I hope it is showing for other people - I was quite pleased with myself when I made it work. I uploaded it to Photobucket and then used their code and the picture came up - well at least on my PC :(

Re: Queen wasp

The Queen wasps come into my house to hibernate every winter. Often if I get the fire going too high or put the CH on they will come out of hibernation If I see a Queen wasp in the spring I let them be, unless they are building right near or in part of the house, otherwise wasps are very good for th...

There's a few varieties in there, French Marans, Cuckoo Marans, Black Silkies, Rhode Island Red, Black Orpington, Buff Orpington and Welsu...

I'm pleased with my Coloured Egg layers this year

Having kept my Marans for many years now, I have suddenly got interested in different coloured eggs. I am really pleased with them so far this year. All being well there should be some for hatching later in the season

This is what they have laid this year
