Re: Ish Springwatch 2011

We saw our first daffodil out yesterday!

Re: my new blog

I've been wondering about archiving, too, so your question prompted me to look up how to do it. I found instructions here: http://blogging.nitecruzr.net/2007/07/labels.html and tried it out in my blog (on blogger like yours). First, from the 'design' page, add a gadget... choose 'Labels' from the li...

From 3rd March, Lidls spring gardening stuff. Fruit trees 2 for £10, fruit bushes 4 for £5.
Thanks for that - I've been watching out for it.

Re: So there go our woods and forests

If your political horizons are limited to the options provided by the Big 3 parties in the UK, there's nothing I can do for you. They're all as bad as each other Is there an alternative? I always vote, and always take the time to try to figure out which is the least bad of the option on offer, but ...

Well Maggie, you inspired my dinner tonight - pizza topped with ground elder (didn't know I could eat it until you told me) and nettles. It was delicious!

Re: what did you do in the vegpatch/allotment

Lots and lots and lots of digging. I've been using the Suttons garden planner (thanks for the tip, Niknik http://www.selfsufficientish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=21833&start=15  ) and realised that I'll need ALL of my garden to grow all the things I want to grow, so I'm working my way...

Re: weight loss group

Can someone please explain the Kj/Kcal thing? I just looked here: http://www.unit-conversion.info/energy.html and apparently a 40kcal caramel rice cake is 40,000 calories????? I've been similarly horrified by the kcal units, but learnt to my relief that one kcal is the same thing as what we...
