Natural knitting yarns ?

I am feeling inspired to knit myself a jumper/jacket/cardigan for the winter [this one hopefully !] and would like to use a chunky, rustic, natural dyed type wool. Can only find commercially made yarns that dont inspire me. Does anyone have any recommendations for websites or similar where I can get...

Re: Anyone any experience of bike trailers?

They always wore cycle helmets in it and were able to take books, drinks etc. Make sure you get front screens and water proof covers. You can also loa...

Re: Online dating; here we go again !!!!

Altho didnt get very many at all and none that followed up to meeting anyone. Ho hum. Back to the drawing board [or ebay to raise some more play...

Re: Transporting children

Definately a tag-a-long. I had one, well two at one point as both kids loved them so much. If you dont want to get a full tagalong bike there are connector kits for a regular kids bike. No idea how good they are, but bound to be cheaper. No idea about UK availability, but this is what they look like...

Tomato plants - removing leaves ?

Last year when my mum was visiting she took over half the leaves off all my tomato plants, saying there were too many and I needed to let the light in. No idea if this was the right thing, but it was already done..... I have never seen this recommended in any books or mags etc. Does anyone do this ?...

Re: OMG!My poor apple tree!

Take off remaining fruit and let tree put it's energy into growing stronger. Mine went in last year and I viciously removed all fruit, trees look better this year and will bear small crops as left some fruit on. Hoping this will pay off in future. May help yours too if it can get stronger to ward of...

Re: Special ingredients?

Thanks Maggie, how much lemon juice do you use ? recipe calls for 1teaspoon I think, so that much lemon ? The pectic enzyme is meant to be added at start of mixture, guess I will see what happens without it. Got 4 batches going now; Ribena, Lemonade, Apple and Pineapple, all from CJJ Berry. Will be ...
