Re: Homegrown "Cascade Hops" for swapsies
Hey Minnesota. I would be happy to cover any shipping costs involved when the time comes, so will keep my fingers crossed. Makes sense that there are no males, as they would cause the females to go to seed, and they wouldn't flower as well. I'm currently waiting on some rhizomes from a supplier in t...

Re: Homegrown "Cascade Hops" for swapsies
Hi Minnesota. The only thing that I would have to swap would be beer, and that's not really practical to ship to you, and I guess you are making your own anyway. Near impossible to get cascade rhizomes on this side of the pond. Any chance you would be willing to send a few rhizomes to Ireland or eve...

Re: Are there any actual Scots, Irish or Welsh on this forum?
I was born in Ireland, but the family moved to Wales when I was very young. i then moved back to Ireland when I was 20. When I was in Wales everyone called me Paddy, and now that I am back in Ireland eveyone calls me Taffy. I am very proud to be both. I go to Boston now and then, and practically eve...

Re: Where to go in Dublin/Cork?
Majority of people brewing cider get their kit/ingredients online, and the more resourceful make their presses and other bits and piceces. There's quite a craft brew community here, but nothing bricks and mortar wise, same re self sufficiency. If you only have a day, have a look at the below link fo...

Re: Hello from Co. Clare, Ireland
Welcome Ger. The Irish contingent really seems to be building momentum recently, which is great to see, as it's a great site. I am doing similar things to you, plus a bit of homebrew.
Cheers,
Billy.

Re: DIY Apple masher
hi Ellendra, that's very interesting. I have a brand new waste disposer that I have never used, still in box, as not happy with thought of just putting waste down the sink. I make cider, so will look on net to see if I can gt plans for this kind of masher.
Thanks for the idea.

Sorted
Hi All.
I have been in contact with the two people that I sent seeds to, and they are sending some back to me, so no need for anyone else to send any sympathy seeds.
Thanks anyway.
Billy.

Hi All. I am not too worried that I didn't receive anything, as it was just a bit of fun anyway, and it won't stop me getting involved in future seed swaps. I think it is a great idea in general, as no one ever seems to plant all the seeds that they buy, and I definitely can't keep up with all the o...

Secret Santa style seed swap
HI All. I think that I sent the seeds to poster "hopeful", and as she didn't have an address as per her post, and as I haven't received anything, I pm'd her with my address to see if she wanted to send directly. I entered twice and sent two sets of seeds, but didn't get anything so maybe my address ...
