Thanks for that Ina, I'll definately be there, the Old Fruitmarket is great, good venue for seeing bands too, last went there to see Lamb Chop - you probably won't have heard of them. Pam.

You would need to have exceptionally strong hands to squeeze enough water out, the paper log/brickette maker is ideal, it's mechanical, works by lever and is really very satisfying to use. We have lots of jokes here in this very silly household about me 'making my own logs'. Sorry to be so coarse!

There is something really satisfying about making them and leaving them to dry out (that takes an age too). Please use rubber gloves when making ...

I to am intrigued by Stonehead catching rabbits with his bare hands and would love to know more, my poor jack russell spends all his walks in the woods chasing them to no avail. I've seen people tickling trout (on tv), do you tickle the rabbits Stone head? ha ha

Hi Kirksty, welcome to the site, I am on here sporadically, the advice is great. I live just down the road from you in Stirling, just where the Wallace Monumment is. I have a veg patch and am in the process of organising myself to get some chickens!

Not going to do my top 5 as too difficult, it depends so much on your mood at the time, but my favourite film is Amelie, it will restore your faith in humanity, it's funny, heart warming and just wonderful. I highly recommend it it. Jean de Florette and Manan Des Sources are also in my top 10. Heres...

Hi, I have my name on a council waiting list, it was put on last year and I was told that it would be approx 9 years before I got one! Only 8 more years to go! I don't want to depress you, it can't be that bad where you are - I have to say that all our local allotment plots look lovingly cared for, ...

Hi Clarabel, No advice here, but just wanted to join in the chat as I love my clothes pulley, we used to live in Glasgow and there we inherited a lovely old pulley, one of the first things we installed when we moved to this house in Stirling was the pulley (you can't beat Crocketts in Glasgow for th...

Hi Cir3ngirl, that's lovely that you are doing your bit for educating the youngsters, good for you. So, do you just steep nettles in water for a couple of weeks and then pour the liquid onto the soil? I did this last year and what a stink from the bucket, my goodness! I was amazed, but I am interest...
