Re: Yummy Yummy!!
I love savoury crumbles... mine usually have a variety of root veg in. Never put beans in before - that's a good idea!

Re: prices of redcurrants anyone?
£2.04 Waitrose Redcurrants (150g)
(£13.60 / Kg)
Found on the internet.... Waitrose might not be a good comparison though! Funny that they don't have any in the supermarkets - I was wandering past our local alloments about an hour ago and noticed lots of redcurrants so they must be in season.

Re: Came clean to boss
Helen, Have you considered supply teaching? Take the jobs when you need the money, and refuse them when you don't? I'm not a teacher, but used to work with teachers and some of them actually enjoyed their work much more like this. The less time you spend at work, the more time you have to do things...

Re: what can i do with lemon balm?
I love lemon balm tea... Lots of fresh leaves and pour on hot water - very simple, very tasty :)
This page has some nice ideas though I've not tried any myself. The lemon balm pesto sounds like a nice idea though...

Re: Cost of a loaf of HM bread pls?
Where the heck are you guys getting organic bread flour so cheap? Today we got some from Sinsburps (own brand) 78p - 1.5kg non-organic, both wholemeal and white (we use 400g white and 100g whole meal to do a loaf) The last time I looked it was £1.30 or more for organic bread flour, and if we shop a...

Re: Nature's setbacks
MMM, I think you were right, my carrots are looking so much better (they fluffed up like you said). The mangetout has completely died, so I think I'll plant some new. I'm leaving the tomotoes and peppers to take their chances - they are still green anyway so there must be some life there! But perhap...

Re: Birth-to-potty or sized nappies?
Thank you for the reassurance - I'll be prepared when people throw these objections my way now! And yes, flushable liners! I knew I'd forget something... That looks like a good site kathleen, I have a sewing machine, but very little confidence in using it. Perhaps I should just be brave and give it ...

Nature's setbacks
Feeling a little unhappy right now as all my outside veg has been destroyed by a freak hailstorm we had yesterday here in Switzerland... Living in a small apartment it's really diffcult to grow anything, but my landlady had given us permission to put a few pots outside at the bottom of the apartment...
