Re: Hello from Ian! Looking to write on self sufficent livin

Hello Ian, have you tried signing up for WWOOFers (Willing workers on organic farms). Loads of communities are on it. My advice would be to head down to the South West, most of them seem to be down here!
Good luck with the book.

Re: Lower cholesterol levels without $$$products?

Definitely agree with the cut out bad fats and do more exercise advice. I like Micheal Pollan's advice "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants." By food he means real food not 'food substances' like 'cheese food slices' etc. There have been a few studies done on oyster mushrooms and their e...

They also have a good list of links/references http://www.thisisrubbish.org.uk/resources/links/

Good luck with the project!

Re: Spam again

Hi Maggie, I thought the log in problems were sorted. Doesn't look that way :( Darn it, will have to look into that when I get a moment. Of course I don't mind you killing a lot of the spammers Sue, I wish they would find another way of earning money. I've noticed a kitchen one again and zapped it t...

I should say also that Maggie (Green Aura) is doing a fantastic job of zapping spammers at the moment.

Re: Spam again

I've been trying to zap them as soon as they come in but you are right, it does seem to be quite regular at the moment. Perhaps the bad weather is keeping people indoors on their computers?

Hi Kate, Are you the same person who got in touch via twitter- (I am @growurfood4free)? I've filled out your questionnaire now, it would be interesting to see the findings of your dissertation and what angle you are taking

Re: Door shed roof

You can make it out of any piece of wood you find that fits. Marine ply would be the ideal but this is expensive. It will last longer if you felt it.

Re: Still having login problems!

Okay, i have found a solution. If you avoid logging in via the main page, that is clicking on the big green forum button, and go straight to the forum via google or whatever it doesn't seem to have the problem. I've just tried it and not been logged out once.

Yes, of course you'd be invited :) I think the co-op and the money raising would be two separate things.

Re: Still having login problems!

I know that is a big ask, I will email old mods etc too and see if they want a part of it.
