plant a tree season!

As discussed in the 'sadly have to fell a beautiful tree' thread, a few people expressed an interest in planting a self-sufficientish tree. thanks for your replies, I've had a bit of a google and I think it is a 'Dawn Redwood' it is going brown now (that species is deciduous) and the leaves are the tell-tale 'opposite'....its not one of the very biggest redwoods, but still grows to about 100ft and so close to the house is just asking fo...

trouble is my one and only wedding photo is sat on the fireplace and I look like Joan Collins in it, complete with large shoulder pads! so not much chance of forgetting :lol:

Hi, we moved from NW lancs to Welsh/Shrops borders. Hi all,
been reading a bit and found this place very interesting so far! Looks like there's lots more to read too! Just moved house and got lots of chickens, and planning some veggie patches. The place is a bit chaotic at the mo but hopefully it'll all come together eventually!
