I would say use your tubs to grow salad crops, carrots and radish. Make your new bed with all the stuff you have got and then plant it up with no dig potatoes, put in a couple of wigwams over the top and you can then put runner bean transplants on one and french bean or pea transplants on the other...

The last time I fished the Tay,30 odd years ago,I used pieces of kipper on a single hook with a rolling leger.Took loads of flounder.I love oily fish as bait,or buy the oil and paint your lob. These days I live many miles from the sea,so I have to know the mackerel will be running before I fish for...

Yeah, we live in an estuary, off Mallaig, stunning mackerel runs, we took over 300 fish last summer just for the families freezers (there's about 12 of us to share around/trade with etc). I also caught about 17 sea trout, and a million baby pollock (I caught a headache round about here).... :banghea...

A bit of a late response. There's an ongoing conservation project for the white-clawed crayfish (the native species) in Cornwall. I suspect that means that native crayfish can still be found in Cornwall's rivers and, if that's the case, you probably don't have a snowflake in hell's chance of gettin...
