Re: Forest Schools ! woohoo

Thanks, will look into it.

Such an exciting program and such brilliant opportunities and benefits for our Autistic kids.

With the Polytunnel too, so much to do....

Re: Cleaning a polytunnel ?

Its getting the sprayer to reach the top that I am struggling with. High and long span, not a good site/base for stepladder....

Are there any special long reach type sprayers ?

But the thing is green on the roof ! Given it is 6.5m span, 9m long and 2.8m high it will be a significant job to...

Re: New school polytunnel

Just found the seed stash, 18 packets of Moneymaker tomatoes. Anyone want toms ? think they are 2015, also 12 packets of mixed salad leaves. Happy to send you 2-3 packets in exchange for something interesting, own seed or leftover shop stuff, that the kids would like. Thinking squashes, scented clim...

Re: New school polytunnel

Thanks guys for all your replies. Just had a meeting with 'management' and they loved the ideas. I had a list of materials, suppliers and prices for the initial set up, timber, compost and drip irrigation, they didnt bat an eyelid, so getting that too ! We are planning a work day next weekend to bui...

New school polytunnel

Hi folks I dont post often, but lurk lots, figured you guys would be a great place to ask for ideas, tips and inspiration on a project I have landed with at school. I work at a school for Autistic kids, ages 3-19, varying abilities and issues. A polytunnel was built 2 years ago, I wasnt allowed to b...

Re: The line between ..

Pre-used coffin, I'm loving it, and she probly would too. Skip would be cheaper, pile her up in the middle of all her 'stuff', I know she would laugh at the idea and be happy resting in amongst it all. [is it a naughty suggestion ?!]

Re: The line between ..

Hmm, I am currently reading a lot about Simplifying, and really like it. Keep trying to chuck stuff out, or take it to charity shop, sometimes intervened by partner, who is always moaning about he amount of stuff I hoard...... Yes it is a generational thing, brother and I frequently tell mum we will...

Where to shop ?

Hi all, been quietly following on and off for a while now, and have a question to share/ask.... I havent brought groceries or anything from the 'Big 4' for several years now, deliberately for ethical reasons. I live in a small town with a Booths and Co Op and a medium quality local veggie shop [whic...

Ethical Banking, again

So I am fed up with Cooperative Bank, they are as bad as the rest ! I am looking around at other banking options, I need a simple current account, online, cashpoint, direct debits etc. A savings account too, for when I have some spare cash, maybe even earn some interest. Any recommendations ? I conf...
