Re: Flu jab during pregnancy
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I understand your apprehension, I also work with primary children and having had 4 miscarriages was really unsure what to do. In the end I decided it was worth the risk and had the injection in the first tri. My son is now 7 weeks old and is showing no ill effects.

Re: Minime and the dragging diagnosis
Sorry to hear you've had to cope with all this. It must be so hard to see your wee one ill so often (my baby is only a month old and I'm finding it hard enough coping with colic!). I would ask to see the consultant again. GPs are great for routine illnesses but they are called "General" pr...

Re: I have plants I can't eat!
I've never had a problem with Hydrangeas, I think perhaps the varieties we get are generally quite hardy. The geraniums, if they are geranium rather than pelargonium, will be fine and will mutliply til your garden has been taken over by them!

Re: Waterproof children!!
Love it! My favourite quote from one of my student teaching presentations was "There's no such thing as bad weather, just unsuitable clothing"! This was in reference to nurseries where children get to play outdoors regardless of the weather.

Tried to save the seedlings which were in my minigreenhouse when it was blown over by 70mph winds on Monday. They were being hardened off now they are back in the conservatory where the biggest risk is our cat!

Re: I'm glad I make my own bread.
The problem is that many women aren't preparing themselves for conception with folic acid supplements or taking them once they are pregnant. There have also been suggestions in the past few years that folic acid can help men's fertility. On this topic I am happy for shop bought bread to be fortified...
