I suspect this isn't one that will appeal to you Duncan, but my top 'eco product' has to be my mooncup. It's also saved me a fortune on disposable sanitary wear. y'know, i was trying to think of my top 5, and i was having a difficult time til i read this. I whole-heartedly agree!! It has to be the ...

I've got one of those wheeled trolley thingies. Since No3Child has come out of the buggy, I can't carry shopping for too far, so I got one off FreeCycle, and I love it. The other excellent thing is that all the kids want to pull it, so I don't have to do anything at all

I have three kids - two primary school age and the third in playgroup. My oldest (who is dyslexic) would probably shoot me thru the head if I tried to take him out of school .. he totally loves it and does well there. Middle child, though, is a completely different beast. I am dithering with taking ...

That's brilliant, thanks for that.

Right - off to get some compost tomorrow. I have a whole stack of empty compost bags, so that's not a problem. How many would you think would go per bag? Would 6 plants be too many?

Someone local to me (who is also a NEEP) was telling me about plans for their hmm - not outside toilet - one of those loos like they had on INEBG but without the shed around it. They live on a smallholding, and he is going to plant a load of trees for privacy and also for helping the waste to be use...

Can someone please give me the complete idiots guide to growing tatties in bags?

How much compost do you plant them in? How high should you keep adding the compost when they start sprouting etc?

I can't grow in my plot just now (it died :() but I still want some veggies.

This is very interesting. My 4 year old has had a problem with milk since she was a baby. She couldn't tolerate my milk and she went onto formula. She can't take a lot of things with milk in them, but some things she can - for example - formula is made with skimmed milk powder. :? The last year, eve...

I have white embden/toulouse geese - only a pair and I don't get that many feathers dropping, but those I get you are welcome to. I'm not sure where you are? I am near Turriff, which is north-east. We have recently taken up archery, and I am sure my husband would be very interested in knowing some o...

I was thinking more along the lines of the folk who may be visiting with a pair of wire cutters, although I have to admit that at the level of intelligence required to vandalise others property in this matter, they probably can't read either

The blanket Shirlz was talking about. My sister was taken into 24 hour care 4 years ago because she was unable to look after herself anymore. (She was 40 at the time). When she was younger she had crocheted herself a blanket, but unfortunately it wasnt in a fit state to go with her into the care hom...

I love it. Missed the episode you are talking about, but have caught all the others.

I think Sayid is great, and also Hurley. Jack annoys me, Charlie is ineffectual. Sawyer needs to start being James and stop being a made up person (yes, I know it's all made up, but you know what I mean!)
