Re: What i'm brewing at the moment

Turned out nice! Slightly ginger aroma. Subtle herbal flavour. Recommended recipe. Will likely brew this again.

Cheers Andy!

Re: What i'm brewing at the moment

For my first ever homebrew attempt (well, aside from a failed apple juice cider many years ago) I'm trying the bay & rosemary ale from Andy H's book. Scaled back ingredients to give me approx 7l liquid in my fermenter. Been going for 11d now. Not far off bottle time once gravity readings flatten...

Re: Utilisation of yard tips...

thanks to everyone for the responses.

I'd be very interested to hear more about the Japanese 'active bacteria' method (if anyone can provide a link/name!)

Cheers again!

Re: Utilisation of yard tips...

thanks for that pumpy!

Alas, it's concrete-coated, so unfortunately it's one big slab!

some really interesting and useful tips there, too.

i was thinking maybe trying to grow beetroot as they're a fairly shallow veg (with edible leaves). any experience growing these?

thanks again!

Re: The End Of The Line - Channel 4 Saturday 5th March

i didn't see it on CH4 though did go to a screening with the director last year (I was based in University of Liverpool's Marine Biology unit). I thought it was a very good film and highlighted a lot of the issues very well. In the post-film chat though he did seem to disregard a lot of important is...

Re: What have you got brewing at the moment
