Re: pasta machines

Ah, that could explain why I had to dig bits of it off the cutter part afterwards

I'll try it with the egg pasta when son isn't eating with us.

After reading this thread, I decided to go for the eggless pasta (son is vegan). it looked good but tasted awful :o( I think it must have been the way I made it...

Re: The time has come...

This is a great idea  Last year, I was told I was glucose intollerant, and that loosing weight might help. I was 10 and half stone. I joined in with another group on a different forum. It was great having the support. I lost 2 stone and my glucose levels went from 7.4 to 4.7. So , go for it ...

Re: Lace making anyone?

It's bobbin lace. I have put some pics on here. I hope they are big enough for you to see properly. This is something I was working on last night.

Going to try something a bit more adventurous next.

Lace making anyone?

I just got myself a lace making kit from freecycle.

I tried about 20 years ago, but gave up when my teacher stopped the classes.

I am surprised how quickly it all came back, but it is MUCH harder reading the instructions than being shown how

Does anyone else on here make lace?

Re: Crazy things you were told by your parents

I was told that eating crusts would put hairs on my chest. I never ate them after that!!

Also that raw mushrooms would give me cancer....after I had eaten a raw mushroom!!!!

What a fantastic idea. I think I'll give it a go and see if I can get a rosemary into a shape like that for next year.

Happy Ishmas :reindeer:

Re: Windowsill Winter Salad

Whenever I grow things on the windowsill, they seem to get leggy. I would like to try lettuce this year though.

Let me know how you get on, and we can compare our mini crops :toothy4:

The tomatoes look great.

Thanks. I'll try to get there tomorrow to check it out.

A few weeks ago I had 5 metal garden arches for 5p each! Great for a bean tunnel at the lottie :thumbright:
