Tip Waste not...always use the very last drops - not just talking about wine! For example, if you have bought things like tomato sauce, when it is getting to the end, leave the bottle inverted so that every last drop is used. A small amount of vinegar shaken in the bottle can also mean none is waste...

We've added a banana to a drawer full of unripe tomatoes before now, it works very well. Although its best not to forget to look occasionally!
Ours seem to be ripening reasonably well now, those that aren't blighted that is.
