Re: Glass in food

Give your surgery a wee call to ask for their advice on the swallowed bit. Just a precaution. Kepp your evidence and contact head office. I found a human tooth in carrot cake - and the company practically accused me of putting it there in order to make a claim! Haven't eaten that brand again - ever!...

I have a children's novel which I read in 1968 - which details exactly how to make a haybox too! - not quite the 1890s - but not new either.
Also got a just postwar cookbook - which was my Mum's - great ideas there too - very good for preserves recipes! :flower:

Is it true that flour itself will rise - as dough of course - simply by using the bacteria in the air?

Re: swine flu

Hi Annpan - I realised it was your OH's work mate too - the news has given their names now and they seem to be doing fine - as do those who have been in contact with them.
The media create so much of the panic - its sad when they interfere with people's lives. :hugish:

Re: swine flu

Watched the news on this just now - we may all die of scare tactics first! Or am I just cynical?
It would be hard to contain if it took hold though - as we all travel so much. :?
