Re: Help, check shirt & stetson needed
try just work shirt, something a bit thicker than normal and try to find an off cut of material for a neckerchief/mouth guard, an old shoelace for a bootlace type necktie. make a biggish belt buckle out of some card, and a waistcoat if you have one, for added effect you can make a sheriffs badge to ...

Re: Trouble in paradise!
My Mother can be very trying, she is desperate to move in with us, but I can't do it, she drives a wedge between me and my sister at every opportunity and hates it if we get on or do something together. I'm afraid we have learnt from experience that being firm with her and not letting her get her ow...

Re: school eco-club ideas
Hi applegirl, we run a session called "trash to treasure" trying to recycle anything we can before resorting to actually sending it for recycling (does that make sense?) any way, there are loads of things to do, but I would get in touch with your local eco schools co-ordinator, most places...

Re: 101 tips to help Quit smoking
I quit 5 years ago, no tips here, I enjoyed smoking, I still have occasional cravings, I stopped because I wanted to, and that is THE only way you can quit (I think), I didn't tell anyone I was stopping smoking, I gave myself a point to stop smoking, I knew I was going out on the Saturday night, so ...

Re: school eco-club ideas
Hi apple girl I have loads of resources that can help you with eco schools projects, whereabouts are you? and does the school already have eco schools status, or is that what you are aiming for? What size school is it? If you let me know a few more details I can post the ideas and items that will be...

Re: Easiest ever rice pudding recipe
I cooked some ground rice pudding for the first time in about 20 years the other week!
Nothing really to do with the original post but just thought I'd share
It was delicious though yum with a bit of honey stirred in

I try to pay as little attention to adverts as possible, however there are some which just really annoy, mascara adverts... why? when it says in the small print " model filmed with lashes inserts" what the hell is the point??? The new country life ad with John Lydon has put me off ever buy...

Re: breadmaker recommendations
My breadmaker broke about a month ago and I am waiting for a replacement, but I have been making bread by hand since and I have to say it is so much better, much tastier and bakes better, however far far more time consuming, I have been tending to make several loaves at once. I can now make cobs/rol...
